Whiting & Mason Solicitors operates from its offices in New Mills and Marple, advising clients both locally and further afield. We act for individuals, families, Executors, trustees and property owners, often supporting clients through important and time-sensitive matters.

Many of our clients come to us by recommendation and continue to instruct the firm as their circumstances evolve. We value long-term professional relationships and aim to provide advice that is not only legally sound but also practical and proportionate.

Our History

The firm’s origins date back to the 1930s, when Arthur Whiting established his practice in Marple, originally working from a room at the back of his mother’s sweet shop. In the 1950s, Roy Mason joined the partnership, forming the foundations of Whiting & Mason Solicitors.

Over the years, the firm has developed through a number of mergers and changes and now incorporates the practices of Alan J Fidler & Co Solicitors, WM Furness & Son Solicitors and Furness Evans Solicitors.

Today, Whiting & Mason Solicitors continues to build on its long-established reputation, combining local roots and continuity with modern legal practice from its New Mills and Marple offices.
